We have eaten at The Windmill' on numerous occasions including 2 group Christmas meals (Merefields Residents' Assocn.Saham Toney)& have always been delighted by the friendly & efficient service, excellent food & good value for money that the pub consistently provides - good beers & wines too. We have especially apprecited the management's helpful willingness to accommodate last minute changes to group reservations with no fuss. Long may it continue!

A lovely pub in a lovely village. We came for the rock and roll night and had the best night out we have had in ages. It's so nice to visit a pub with genuine atmosphere, and we will be coming back over and over. More music nights please!

We have visited this pub twice over the last 6 months when visiting relatives who live in Necton. On both ocassions, we ate in the pub, rather than the restaurant. The pub food is fantastic quality, served by friendly and knowledgable staff.
When we visited the frist time, earlier this year, we were told that they don't have a kids menu, but our 4 year old could chose something from the normal menu, and it would be made to her size. She chose to have a beefburger, and the meal that came was absolutely delightful - the burger had obviously been made as usual, but had then been cut to a small size using something like a round cake cutter - it was ideal for her! And then, what made the whole experience even better, the chef came out to find us after the meal so that he could make sure that our 4 year old was happy with what he'd made her!! First class service!
Last weekend we paid our second visit - we had 2 rounds of drinks, the Chefs burger for myself (outstanding!), a salad for my wife, scampi for my mother-in-law, chicken and liver for her hubby, and a jacket spud for the 4 year old, and then puds for all of us (white chocolate and baileys cheesecake, mmmmmm), and the whole lot came to only £70 - outstanding value for such high quality food.
Highly recommended.

My meal at Necton Windmill was delightful, although there where a few flaws. For instance my beef was a bit bland and so was my Yorkshire pudding. But what made up for that was my fluffy, sweet roast potatoes and well cooked, juicy vegetables. The gravy was nice with my yorkshire pudding. The service was to a high standard because of the polite waiters. Overall my meal at the Necton Windmill was pleasant and enjoyable.

I have posted here before and my opinion hasn't changed - one of the best pubs, took my partner for her Birthday and all she wanted was Scoob's beef and ale pie - it wasn't on the menu but she still got it. I can't recommend the Lamb shank enough - the meat melted off the bone. The summer berry pudding was to die for. Scoob - don't foget our request for your chicken curry to feature on your next video recipe page please......

WOW! From the moment we walked into your establishment we were made to feel welcome. All the staff from the barman to the waitresses were very friendly efficient and helpful. And as for the food! the presentation was superb and the taste was amazing! My Mum couldn't believe the size of her cheesecake! By far the best pub/restaurant we have dined at in years! See you all soon.......p.s Good to see Scoob after all these years!

PERFECT!!!! :-) It was my 60th and we thought the restaurant was lovely. Nice atmosphere and good staff, and the food was excellent. Please pass my thanks to the chef and David for making my birthday great, and my wife's mother's day a treat. Our 4 guests loved it too. Kindest regards, Neil Poston, Chelmsford.

Mandy and Dave and family are an asset to Necton Village always helpful in everyway. Thank you. A very grateful custment

Being village locals, we have the pleasure of eating (and drinking!) at the Windmill every Friday night; the food is fantastic and Mandy and Scoob always go out of their way to ensure we are looked after and are made to feel very much at home. We also had our wedding reception in the restaurant - the food and service was impeccable and helped make our wedding day very special indeed! And whats more they now have Beeston ales on pump!!!

We recently moved into Necton and the Windmill was our saving grace as we didn't have a cooker in the new house! Now we go there purely out of choice, great varied menu, a lovely family atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and always accomodating. This is not just for the locals...if you driving along the A47, stop off here - and you won't regret it.

Absolutly fabulous family meal for 21 celebrating a 60th and 80th birthday. Comments like 'best chicken I have ever tasted', 'best salmon I have ever tasted'. Thankyou for a first class meal, first class service at a very reasonable price.

We eat regularly and enjoy the food very much. Today we ate with you and I had beef pie with chips too much gravy and chips served on the plate not separately as you usually do not a good move .could not eat most of the meal.

The vegetarian starter of Stilton, walnut and apple pate was outstanding especially when Scoob changed the menu slightly for me as I dont like apple. The main course of goats cheese and mushroom stew was amazing. It is the best vegetarian menu I have tasted in a long time. Nick was very impressed with the rump steak which was succulent along with the chips that were crunchy and melted in your mouth at the same time. Thank you to Karen and Rod for introducing us to this fantastic place.

My Family and I had a lovely meal in the miller's restaurant yesterday for my dad's 60th birthday. I thought it was the perfect place for such an occasion or perhaps any occasion. The food was lovely. It tasted fresh and hot and the children's meal which I ordered for my young daughter was perfect for her. The staff there were very polite and accommodating and none of us wanted for anything while we were there. Everybody was happy and my dad had a wonderful time on his birthday so thank you to all the staff at the windmill....you're great! Thanks

A village pub which serves excellent food, whether you want the more relaxed atmosphere of the bar or slightly more fomal restaurant. So popular that booking is almost essential for Sunday lunch. Home cooked food at its best. Lunchtime menu is particularly good value.

If you want a fantastic meal, warm welcome and somewhere to catch up with friends and family, then The Necton Windmill is the place to visit. Mandy, Scooby and all their staff always have a warm welcome waiting. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Windmill to anyone.

Having eaten at the Windmill several times over the last two years all I can say is WOW! Everytime me and my family visit we are always welcomed with the warmest of atmospheres. The pub area is fantasic and child friendly whilst the restaurant is first class, with ever changing menu's - which is rare in Norfolk. Keep up the good work and we'll keep coming back!

What can I say, what a fantasic restaurant! You really do have the best of both worlds at the Windmill, a traditional pub and a first class restaurant. We'll be coming back for sure.
